SENIOR
WORKOUT
A friend just came across this exercise suggested for Seniors (old people!), to build muscle tone and strength in the arms
and shoulders and passed it on to me to add to my routine. The article suggested doing this exercise three times a week.
BEGIN by standing on a comfortable surface where you will have plenty of room at each side.
With a 5-pound potato sack (or bag) in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides and hold them there for as long as
you can. Try to reach a full minute, then, relax. Each day, you will find that you can hold this position for just a bit
longer. AFTER a couple of weeks, move up to 10-pound potato sacks. Then use 50-pound potato sacks, and eventually try
to get where you can lift a 100-pound potato sack in each hand and hold your arms straight out for more than a minute. After
you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each of the sacks and hold them out--- but be careful! FPH
CFM's BIBLES FOR PRISONERS program is a Ministry of Service, in that we offer free KJV
Bibles plus assorted literature and studies, to prisoners incarcerated in United States federal or state facilities ONLY. The
response has been nearly overwhelming at times, but we have managed, with some help from our friends, to give over 2000 Bibles and
many thousands of studies to prisoners across the United States, to both men and women. Currently, about two million persons
are incarcerated in USA prisons, so there is plenty of room for growth in this ministry. Your help, if you are able to give
it, is appreciated.
We do not advertise this service within the prisons. All responses
come from word-of-mouth advertising. That is, one prisoner will tell another or one prisoner will see another's Bible and ask
where he got it. On occasion, someone has put our name and address up on a prison bulletin board.
Included with each Bible are at least three studies generated by F. Paul Haney, minister
and pastor of Christ Fellowship Ministries,
which includes a copy of our non-denominational
Study-07-A, Christian Bible Study Guide. ---THE SMALL STAFF AT CFM
