The Bible plainly says Yahweh owns the world. He claims it is his. "Everything under heaven is mine" (Job.41:11b; cf.
Is not Satan an image of corruptible man? Is not the
Devil the epitome of evil? By denying the present sovereignty of God in this world, men have changed the glory of Yahweh into
dishonor and degradation. Many church leaders and others stand before their congregation and profess to have Truth and Wisdom
on their side, when they do not.
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the
will of my father in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name, cast out demons
in your name, and done many wonders in your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you who
practice lawlessness!" (Matt.7:21-23). These people are not heathens—they are professing Christians. They did good deeds,
but were not in the will of God and had no fellowship with Christ. Believers need to be constantly in the word of God in order
to learn how to discern tradition from reality and subtle idolatry from the worship of the true God of Christ (Jn.17:3). "Therefore
let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall… Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry" (1Cor.10:12-14).
Those putting
forth the damnable error that the Devil rules this planet--the world in which we live and who then conclude that he sits upon the
"throne" of the world, in a roundabout way, become Satan's most ardent and emotional supporters. The advocates of this doctrine
will argue vehemently in support of it and may even accuse you of heresy should you take a differing stance. Since they do not
believe Jesus the Christ is our world ruler today when scripture indicates e actually is, they appear to come dangerously close to
becoming unbelievers and heretics by resisting any current ongoing rulership of God. Somehow, they dismiss clear passages that
attests to Christ's present kingship and present sovereignty over flesh, and arbitrarily assign him a yet future monarchy—but not
today, thank you very much. Interestingly, the claim that neither God nor Christ are presently exercising dominion and rule
over the world fits in nicely with a false particular and peculiar futurist doctrinal necessity.
They say God has declared "Hands off!"
the world and tell us that God is NOT effectually working in the world today. However, it is an empty claim and completely devoid
of scriptural support, besides being utterly stupid and godless.
Now, if one opposes Christ, one is against Christ. Not a smart
move (cf. Jn.12:48). The word “against” has many synonyms: opposing, contra, hostile, adverse, at odds with, at cross-purposes,
in disagreement with, in contempt of, and before. The Greek prefix anti joins words that form adjectives and nouns that denote
opposition and define hostile positions such as, anti-labor, anti-Semitism, and anti-Christ. However, believers of Christ should
accept the entirety of the following passage on face value, adding no modifiers to it: "Jesus spoke these words, lifted up his eyes
to heaven, and said: 'Father, the hour has come. Glorify your son, that your son also may glorify you, as you have given him
authority over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as you have given him" (Jn.17:1-2; cf. Matt.28:18). Authority
and power are synonyms here.
One single reference (out of 175 places) is made to Satan's throne in the N
Fact: Those
who accept Satan as king of earth shut off special revelation—they are willingly blinding themselves.
The "Satan is ruler" worldview,
taken as inerrant scriptural truth by so many church people, in spite of the fact that it is in direct contradiction to the words
of Jesus the Christ, amounts to a limited literalist view. That is, the idea of the Devil’s global rulership—his occupation
of a sovereign earthly throne—is primarily taken from limited scripture translation references from within certain Bible versions
that literally say words to this effect:
"But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath
blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine
unto them" (2Cor.4:3-4,
