JESUS CHRIST, THE ONLY BEGOTTEN Son of God, stated, without ambiguity, that the being to whom he prayed was, "the only true God." You can read it for yourself. "And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you
have sent" (Jn.17:3). There can be no mistake about what was said here. Jesus made a distinction between himself and his
Father. He said that the FATHER was true God and further that he was the ONLY one (singular) true God. Jesus left no room
for argument. He said of himself that he was Jesus the Messiah (Christ). He did not include himself as God in any sense. Are we to believe Jesus? Or are we to believe what some men have said about Jesus? Sad to say, there are many professing
Christians and so-called believers who do not believe the Messiah, who deny these words, who twist them to their own benefit, and
I might add, to their quite possible destruction. Biblical monotheism is the only true model that God revealed in the Bible—it
cannot be changed by man.
"So the scribe said to him, 'Well said, Teacher. You have spoken the truth, for there is one God, andthere is no other but he' " (Mk.12:32; cf. Deut.4:39; 6:4; 1Cor.8:4). Notice the singular pronoun "he." It is one of about
20,000 that describe God as a singular being. (Some "Christians" don't care about these facts, however!)
The Father was well
pleased with his son (Matt.3:17). During the "transfiguration," the Father made a statement: "While he was saying this, a cloud
came and overshadowed them; and they were fearful as they entered the cloud. And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, 'This
is my beloved son. Hear him!' ” (Lk.9:34-35, N
Yet, some will continue to argue the point. Those who reject the one true God will find any excuse,
however illogical, to continue in their error. One preacher foolishly and unwisely claims of
It should be obvious that polytheism, the worship and support of two or more gods, is an abomination to the one true God of the Bible. Yet, modern Christianity worships a three-in-one god that somehow becomes one-God monotheism. And nobody can explain it! The trinitarian concept was created by religious leaders during the first three centuries, I believe, because the Roman church (1) needed to remove themselves from hated Judaism (the Jews' response to God and his revealed religion), (2) needed to reconcile god-status of the Messiah and the holy spirit with the clear monotheism of the Old Testament and the New Testament, and (3) needed to bring pagan peoples, their deities, but especially their money, into the church. Since the Roman church essentially represented the law of the land then, they forced their point and now there are "Saints" as demigods as well as the abomination of a "triune" god. Today, generations later, trinitarianism is the "law" of mainstream Christianity and virtually no one inside orthodox Christianity defies this ancient Roman law. Outside of the orthodox camp, however, it is another story and may be worse. "Polytheism-Binitarianism" (worship of two separate gods plus a whole family of gods) is a resurrection of the old Greco-Roman pantheon model of multiple gods and regional gods. "Poly"-Binitarianism is also an abomination to the one true God, just as much as is trinitarianism.
Yahweh (tetragrammaton YHWH) is the name of the OT God;
"Elohim" is the OT Hebrew word generally used for "God," and Yahweh identifies Himself as "the Lord (small caps) your God" frequently. "Then you shall know that I am the Lord your God who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians" (Gen.6:7b). This
subject is extensive. (Cf. Ex.20:3; 34:14; 1Ki.8:60; Isa.45:5,6,14,18, 21,22; 46:9; Dan.3:29;
