True believers should trust God: "Blessed are all those who put their trust in him" (Psa.2:12b).  True believers should honor him who judges all mankind: "For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father" (Jn.5:22-23a; cf. Jn.12:48).  True believers should realize you cannot honor the Father without honoring the Son: "He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him" (Jn.5:23b).  The Messiah promised: "If anyone serves me, him my father will honor" (Jn.12:26b).

The ruling class of Israelites in the first century rejected Christ and thus their beloved house (temple) became desolate (Matt.23:37-38; 24:1-2).  Point: The "Israel-Identity" doctrine is worthless for salvation (Rom.9:6-9).  The remnant would be spiritual Israel (Rom.1:16; 9:14-33; 10:11-13; Gal.3:26-29).  Today the Messiah is neither waiting for some manmade temple to be erected where priests can perform rituals, nor is he waiting to hear the splatter of the blood of goats or bulls on an altar constructed by human hands.  He has no use for a temple built by man.  If you truly belong to Christ, you ARE God's temple (Acts 7:48; 17:24; 1Cor. 3:17; 2Cor.6:16).  Another temple may be built, but will God honor it with his presence?  I think NOT!
